Before the treatment, you may have a consultation with us to discuss your skin concerns, goals, and any allergies or sensitivities you may have. We will assess your skin and determine that dermaplaning is appropriate for your skin.

DURING TREATMENT

During a dermaplaning treatment, here’s what you can generally expect:

Preparation: The esthetician will cleanse your face thoroughly to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup. This ensures that the treatment is performed on clean skin.
Dermaplaning process: The esthetician will use a sterile, surgical-grade scalpel at a 45-degree angle to gently scrape the surface of your skin. Grapeseed oil is used to minimize friction, irritation, and ensure a smooth glide across the surface of the skin. They will perform short, light strokes in upward motions to remove the dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from your face. The process is painless but mild sensitivity can occur post-treatment and usually resolves within 24-48 hours.

POST-PROCEDURE

After the dermaplaning is complete, the esthetician will apply a soothing moisturizer or serum to hydrate and protect your skin. They may also provide recommendations for post-treatment skincare.
