DURING CONSULTATION

To ensure your safety and optimize your treatment outcomes, we initiate every appointment with a comprehensive consultation. During this consultation, we carefully assess the specific area(s) of concern and thoroughly review your medical history. It is essential that you provide full disclosure of your medical history, including any allergies, skin or neurological conditions, and medications, as these factors can affect your safety and the effectiveness of the treatment. Additionally, we will capture before and after pictures to document your progress and maintain detailed records for reference.

DURING TREATMENT

For optimal assessment and visibility of any changes in the skin, we kindly request that you arrive for your appointment without wearing makeup. This allows us to properly cleanse the treatment area and accurately evaluate its condition. After the area is thoroughly cleansed, we may apply topical Lidocaine to provide numbing effects. Alternative options for pain management may include the use of topical ice. Following a 15-minute wait period to allow the numbing agent to take effect, we will proceed with the treatment. Sculptra will be administered using a blunt tip cannula under the close monitoring of your injector. Typically, the treatment duration is approximately 60 minutes.

POST-PROCEDURE

Following your appointment, it is common to experience mild bruising and swelling, which are temporary and should gradually improve within the next few days. It is advisable to refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours after receiving dermal filler. However, specific instructions regarding post-treatment care will be provided by your injector, taking into consideration the areas that were treated. It is normal to experience redness, tenderness, and bumps in the treated area.

To help expedite the resolution of these symptoms, you may consider taking acetaminophen and elevating your head during sleep. Additionally, applying topical Arnica can assist in reducing bruising. It is also normal to notice lumps and bumps during the first two weeks following the treatment. We highly encourage you to schedule a follow-up appointment three weeks after the initial treatment to assess the outcome of the injections.
